Protecting Parks and Open Space
In late 2022, the City of Boise began the process of permanently protecting over 50 parks and open space reserves through deed restrictions. This effort was completed in January 2023, ensuring these vital natural areas remain preserved and publicly accessible for generations to come. The initiative underscores Boise’s long-term commitment to environmental stewardship, equitable access to recreation, and the protection of the city’s natural character.

Trails for All: Connecting People, Nature, and Community
The City of Boise and Ridge to Rivers Trails for All initiative is dedicated to making outdoor spaces welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone—regardless of ability, background, or experience. By improving trail accessibility, fostering a culture of respect, and promoting equitable outdoor opportunities, we can ensure that everyone has the chance to connect with nature, improve well-being, and build community. Together, we can make Boise’s trails a place where all feel welcome.

The City needed a flexible, in-house designer to bring clarity and cohesion to communications across diverse departments and public initiatives. With priorities ranging from housing and climate action to arts and infrastructure, the design work had to be both consistent and community-focused.
As Graphic Designer, I collaborated with internal communications and department leads to design branded materials for city programs, public outreach, events, and internal campaigns. I worked under the guidance of Communications leadership and played a key role in translating complex policy and program goals into accessible, visually engaging deliverables.
