BASE Idaho: A Rebrand for Accessibility, Adventure, and Community

For over 40 years, Boise Adaptive Snowsport Education (BASE Idaho) has been a cornerstone of adaptive snow sports, empowering individuals with disabilities through professional ski and snowboard instruction. With a dedicated team of volunteer instructors, BASE Idaho fosters a safe, supportive, and skill-building environment that enhances physical, social, and functional abilities. The rebrand needed to reflect the organization's deep community roots, sense of adventure, and unwavering commitment to accessibility while modernizing its identity for future growth.

Design Approach

The new BASE Idaho brand embraces clarity, adaptability, and inclusivity. The updated logo simplifies and refines the organization's visual presence while maintaining a sense of movement and energy. The color palette and typography conveys a balance between modern and timeless.

Between the composition and shape, the mark highlights the dynamic and empowering experience BASE Idaho provides, reinforcing its mission of making winter sports accessible to all. The new identity needed to be scalable and versatile, working seamlessly across digital platforms, printed materials, instructor jackets, and promotional assets.
